How to Play Judgement
Bid exactly the tricks you will take. Hands shrink from 7 cards to 1.
Goal
Each hand, bid exactly how many tricks you will take — then take exactly that many. Hands go from 7 cards down to 1, and trump rotates: spades, diamonds, clubs, hearts.
Bidding
Everyone bids in turn. The dealer bids last and may not make the total equal the number of tricks, so somebody always misses.
Play
Follow suit if you can; otherwise play anything — a trump wins.
Scoring
An exact bid scores 10 plus the bid (a bid of 0 made is 10). Too many or too few scores nothing. Highest total after the 1-card hand wins.
