How to Play Gadha Ladan
Can't follow suit? Make someone pick up the trick. Don't be the donkey.
Goal
Get rid of your cards. The last player still holding any is the gadha — the donkey.
Play
All cards are dealt and the ace of spades leads. Follow suit if you can. If everyone follows, the trick is thrown away and the highest card leads next.
Can't Follow?
Play any card instead. The trick stops right there and the player with the highest card of the suit led picks up every card in it — and leads.
Safe
Run out of cards and you are safe. Be the donkey enough times and you lose the match.
