How to Play Hearts
Dodge every heart and the queen of spades — or take them all.
Goal
Take as few points as you can. Each heart is 1 point, the queen of spades 13. When someone reaches the target, the lowest score wins.
Passing
Before each hand, pass 3 cards: left, then right, then across, then keep them.
Play
The 2 of clubs leads the first trick. Follow suit if you can; the highest card of the suit led wins. No points on the first trick, and hearts can't be led until one has been played.
Shooting the Moon
Take every heart and the queen of spades, and everyone else gets 26 points instead of you.
